We felt that this kitchen and utility room needed a few more pictires to show the “Now you see it, now you don’t” aspects of the design. A closer look will show the hide-away bar and larders which combine with the modern handle-less Sutton doors to create a sleak look. There are no handles or ridges on the doors to trap dust and other impurities in this room.
Sutton doors are in both Highland Oak and Heather Slate colours topped off with 20mm thick KSG Quartz Arctic White. For a contrast the handle rail is in a Metalic Bronze effect.
Whilst there might have been space for an island (a very fashionable feature) this kitchen has a penninsular breakfast bar. A penninsular could be seen as an island connected to the rest of the kitchen with the connecting piece giving a little more worktop and cupboard space – something to think about perhaps for your design?
An Elica built in extractor deals with the cooking smeels and fumes and Bosch appliances are hidden away behind those flat slab doors. We installed our customers own American Style fridge freezer but, had it not been available we could have supplied one from a range of manufacturers that we distibute for.
A master stroke of design, in our humble opinion, was to lay the flooring at 45 degrees to the room to break up all of the straight lines and add interest to the overall view.
The pictures here add far more than we ever could in words.
