H Line Sutton in Heather Slate and Highland Stone – Keyworth, Nottinghamshire

What a transformation!  We created this modern kitchen in Keyworth, Nottinghamshire using our H-Line Sutton door in Heather Slate and Highland Stone and teamed it with a titanium finish on the handle rails. Handleless kitchens are a perfect option for those looking for modern elegance but are also great when there are children running around the place – no handles for clothes and hair to get caught on or to bump in to!

We transformed this once small and uninviting kitchen into the open and family-friendly room it is today. Thanks to Dave, the wall which was dividing the existing kitchen from the dining room was removed prior to Dan working his magic to create this fabulous space.

We added ‘Desert Silver’ Silestone worktops and Bosch built-in appliances to finish the look.

From the minute we contacted Owen Williams Kitchens we were impressed with their customer focussed approach; nothing is too much trouble and they were keen to ensure the design was right for us.At the same time they were accommodating of our multiple design changes and worked with us as every stage to ensure the finished design was what we wanted, offering great suggestions throughout – Paul and Owen are a fantastic team.

The installation team were equally amazing – Dan’s attention to detail in fitting was second to none and we also highly recommend Dave for the building work he did for us beforehand to prepare a large kitchen space.

We had a couple of very minor issues after installation which Owen was very quick to resolve – again a good sign of a company who really cares! We would definitely recommend.

Sutton in Coastal Mist & Scots Grey – Ashby-de-la-Zouch

This Coastal Mist kitchen makes me crave the seaside even more than ever!

‘Coastal Mist’ is such a soft and dreamy shade of blue. This colour combined with the silk texture of the Sutton door just adds to the feeling created in this happy family home. Teaming it with ‘Scots Grey’ doors and Minerva ‘Ice Crystal’ worktops just adds to the freshness of the room.  Hints of warmth were provided by the ‘Portland Oak’ open units.

This is an example of one of our larger-scale projects. Before the beautiful kitchen could be created in Ashby, a lot of building work took place so Dave was in his element!

The existing kitchen units and appliances were removed, as were the old floor tiles. The existing back door was removed and bricked up and the window was replaced.  A structural, load-bearing wall that was dividing the kitchen from the dining room was removed and a new supporting steel was fitted. The ceiling in the kitchen was removed, re-boarded and plastered to match the height of the dining area ceiling height and the room was plastered.

New bi-fold doors were fitted to link to the rest of the downstairs space, a new opening into the utility room was created and the under-stairs cupboard was made bigger by altering the studwork slightly.

There was no denying that a job like this was going to be messy but as always Dave took all the precautions he could to ensure that the rest of the house was untouched by the disruption. As a team we are very conscious that these are our customer’s homes and not building sites and we often receive feedback from customers stating how tidy and respectful our staff are when in their homes.

Once Dave had packed up his tools and left, in came Dan to fit the Sutton furniture in Coastal Mist and Scots Grey, and appliances with all the attention to detail that he is famous for. Steve came in to deal with anything electrical.

We were pleased and proud to have taken on this whole project from organising the building regulations on behalf of the customer to take the hassle out of it for them, right through to completion.
